Memphis poster

April 19-22 & 26-29, 2018

Inspired by actual events in the underground 1950s dance clubs, Memphis tells the story of a white radio DJ, Huey Calhoun, who adores taboo Black music and eventually falls in love with a beautiful Black singer - Felicia Farrell, who is desperate to find her big break. As their careers rise, the relationship is challenged by personal ambition and the pressures of an outside world unable to accept their love. Rating: PG-13
