ROAD TO OZ
'ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP'
Lions and tigers and campers, oh my! An OZ themed FREE camp for grades K-8th in partnership with the MHC Charity League. In this two-week camp, students will prepare and perform a short revue style show based on the many versions of L. Frank Baum’s iconic novel, The Wizard of Oz, while learning about theatre, auditioning and improv. At the end of the session, the campers’ work will be showcased for friends, family and general public. All experience levels are welcome!
AUDITION: Saturday, May 11 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
GRADES: K-8
CAMP DATES: May 13-16 & 20-23
CAMP TIMES*: Monday thru Thursday, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
PERFORMANCE DATE: Thursday, May 23 @ 7:00 p.m.
*Check-in will begin daily at 4:30 p.m., and check-out no later than 8:15 p.m.
>> NOTE
Parents will be notified via phone or email by Sunday, May 12, if their student actor has been cast in 'ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP'.
Participation in 'ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP' is required for grades 2nd – 8th, who wish to be considered for casting in ‘THE WIZARD OF OZ’.
Audition workshop(s) for named MUNCHKIN roles for ‘THE WIZARD OF OZ’ will be held during camp and complete cast list will be posted after the ‘ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP’ performance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, 5/24. Please denote on your 'ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP' audition form if your 2nd – 8th grader would also be interested in being cast in ‘THE WIZARD OF OZ’ (SHOW DATES: Jul. 25-Aug. 4). Student actors may also choose to ONLY participate in ROAD TO OZ: YOUTH CAMP'.

>> AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Student actors audition in the order they arrive, must be at least 5yr+ and a K-8th grade student. Upon arrival, each actor will be asked to complete an audition form by their parent or legal guardian. Each actor will be photographed (for internal use only) and assigned an audition number. Parents of K-1 grade actors are required to be present during the audition. Parents of 2-8 grade actors are asked to wait in the Walker Lobby or Café area. Once the student actor has completed their audition, they will be released and escorted back by a staff member to the lobby.
